In the rain of early November, 2013, we played a great game of Flagstaff on our sport's namesake hill.
We didn't care that the sky was gray and all the colorful leaves had already fallen. Nor did it matter that there were only two teams. We called it the "Harvest Colors" "Tournament" anyway.
And what a game it was! Swearing, sliding, scoring.... Steve McCarthy's yellow-clad crew won the match, 5-1.
Let's play it again on Halloween!
New to Flagstaff Football? Flagstaff is a 6-on-6 soccer style football game with a single giant flagpole - and its big, red flag - as the goal. Teams attempt to kick and catch the ball to switch from defense to offense, and do their best to "Hold the Mark" and rack up the goals.
